Liggett Ducat LD cigarettes are a cigarette brand owned by Japan Tobacco International. LD cigarettes were launched in 1999 and quickly became the best-selling brand in the country. The brand was purchased by the Gallaher Group in 2000, which was subsequently purchased by JTI in 2007. The factory where the first LD cigarettes were produced closed in 2016.
In 2016, JTI announced the introduction of LD cigarettes in the United States (and Canada) with red, silver, and green (menthol) varieties. The brand there becomes a cheap brand. Its introduction was intended to compete with the low-cost brands L&M and Pall Mall . The brand started in the states of North and South Carolina and was successful there, confirming JTI’s choice to market nationwide in 2017.
In 2017, the first button LD cigarettes under the LD brand appeared. They had the same taste and began to be popular. The company continued to develop in this direction and by 2020 created a whole line of flavored cigarettes. Let’s take a closer look at each of them.
This is a novelty in the Impuls Compact LD line and this taste appeared in the summer of 2019. Perhaps at the moment, LD cigarettes with a red capsule have already appeared with us. The flavor of the capsule is filled with sweet berries and menthol. When smoking, the declared aroma is felt, but the taste of the berries is a little chemical and resembles hookah tobacco. Menthol is felt very weakly and remains in the aftertaste.
LD cigarettes have a mix of two buttons – Impulse Dual. They are located at different edges of the filter and make it possible to turn them on individually. You can first enjoy one taste, and then add a new one during the smoking process. The purple button adds a currant-blueberry flavor, while the green one adds mint and some citrus. It is better not to activate the green capsule from the very beginning; the smell of menthol will begin to interrupt all the others. It is a very fragrant composition.
